Solar Systems Installed in Sri Lankan Schools with Helios REF

NextEnergy Foundation is proud to announce that three solar PV systems have been successfully installed in schools located in Panama, Ampara District, in Eastern Sri Lanka—an area deeply affected by the 2004 tsunami. The systems, each ranging from 5 to 5.5kW, are now fully operational and connected to the national grid, thanks to the partnership between NextEnergy Foundation and Helios Renewable Energy Foundation.

This initiative supports over 1,000 students across a Sinhalese Primary School, a Tamil Primary School, and a shared Secondary School, promoting reconciliation and sustainable development through clean energy.
