End poverty in all its forms everywhere. NextEnergy Foundation supported 76 Projects to contribute to the achievement of SDG 1.
NEF funds projects in partnership with international charities that share its mission and values. These projects focus on renewable-energy related interventions worldwide, across three main thematic areas: Education, Health and Water and Improved Livelihoods. Between 2022 and 2025 NEF has also supported some Nature-Based Projects.
Since its inception, NEF has been proactive in Emergency Relief Efforts, supporting communities affected by armed conflict and natural disasters.
NEF’s mission is fully aligned with that of the NextEnergy Group and is overseen by a Board of six Directors and guided by a shared vision and Code of Conduct:
To provide energy and light from renewable energy sources to underserved regions, as well as to benefit the local communities in which the NextEnergy Group is present, and beyond.
Our Code of Conduct outlines the principles, responsibilities, and standards of behaviour expected of all trustees and members of the management committee of the NextEnergy Foundation. It serves as a guide to support ethical decision-making, effective governance, and the proper management of responsibilities, ensuring that all actions are carried out in the best interests of the Foundation and its beneficiaries. By adhering to this Code, NEF Trustees commit to upholding integrity, transparency, accountability, and respect in all aspects of their role.

Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls. NextEnergy Foundation supported 37 Projects to contribute to the achievement of SDG 5.
Ensure the availability of water and sanitation for persons with disabilities. NextEnergy Foundation supported 25 Projects to contribute to the achievement of SDG 6.
Ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all. NextEnergy Foundation supported 87 Projects to contribute to the achievement of SDG 7.
Promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all. NextEnergy Foundation supported 40 Projects to contribute to the achievement of SDG 8.
Build resilient infrastructure, promote inclusive and sustainable industrialization and foster innovation. NextEnergy Foundation supported 11 Projects to contribute to the achievement of SDG 9.
Reduce inequality within and among countries. NextEnergy Foundation supported 28 Projects to contribute to the achievement of SDG 10.
Make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable. NextEnergy Foundation supported 35 Projects to contribute to the achievement of SDG 11.
Ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns. NextEnergy Foundation supported 9 Projects to contribute to the achievement of SDG 12.
Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts. NextEnergy Foundation supported 75 Projects to contribute to the achievement of SDG 13.
Conserve and sustainably use the oceans, seas and marine resources for sustainable development. NextEnergy Foundation supported 3 Projects to contribute to the achievement of SDG 14.
Protect, restore and promote sustainable use of terrestial eco-systems, sustainably manage forests, combat desertification, and halt and reverse land degraduation and halt biodiversity loss. NextEnergy Foundation supported 9 Projects to contribute to the achievement of SDG 15.
Promote peaceful and inclusive societies for sustainable development, provide access to justice for all and build effective, accountable and inclusive institutions at all levels.
Strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize the global partnership for sustainable development. NextEnergy Foundation supported 4 Projects to contribute to the achievement of SDG 17.
