NextEnergy Foundation Positive Impact in 2024

A Year of Positive Impact in the Lives of Many!

NextEnergy Foundation has been operating since 2016 and has widened its activities to address the three main thematic areas: Education, Water & Heath and Improved Livelihoods. Since 2022, Nature and Biodiversity Conservation projects have also been supported by NEF.

       Environmental Positive Impact:

  • Estimated saving of CO2 emissions from renewable technologies installed by the projects: 819 tonnes

       Social Positive Impacts:

  • Total benefited students: 32,000+ (47.5% girls and young women)
  • Total extra hours of study enabled: 29,590,000
  • Members of wider communities benefiting from the projects: 50,300                                                

       Environmental Positive Impacts:

  • Water supplied in the year: 208,000m3
  • Estimated emission reduction:
    • CO2 = 316 tonnes
    • NOx / SO2 = 3.2 tonnes

       Social Positive Impacts:

  • Hospitals and Medical Units benefiting from renewable energy installations: 3
  • Annual saving of average community energy expenses produced: 58%
  • People trained in operation and maintenance of renewable technologies: 51
  • Members of local communities that benefited from the projects: 62,500+

  • Estimated CO2 emission reduction in the year: 73 tonnes

      Social Positive Impacts:

  • Benefited community institutions: 17
  • Number of micro-enterprises benefited: 22
  • Members of local community benefited: 46,000+

      Environmental Positive Impacts:

  • Hectares of forest protected/restored: 21
  • Conservation of Forest Carbon Stock CO2eq: 4,558 tonnes

      Social Positive Impact:

  • Community institutions benefited: 33 among municipalities and mountain communities.
